I’ve been writing software professionally since 1999: a decade at a shop that started in Java and migrated to .NET, then fifteen years in BPM and enterprise development in the student loan industry.

I left my job of fifteen years to travel internationally with my family for a full year. AI was already part of my daily work — small tasks at first, then full implementations. I know where the line was in mid-2025, which makes it easier to see what’s moved.

My current focus is building products people actually use, leveraging AI and current tools. The results will be documented in this blog, through the lens of a software career spanning from Perl CGI scripts and Java applets to AI agents.
